See our full PEM Puzzle Collection here!

Piece together art from PEM's Collections! Salem Common was once used as pasture for farm animals and also as a practice area for military training, seen here in this 1808 oil painting from George Ropes Jr. Documents suggest that men practiced their skill with firearms there as early as 1685.
