Turaq Ragee (male; b: 1963, Cape Dorset ). Turaq is the son of artists Kuppapik and Anirnik Ragee. His brothers Tapanie and Qiatsuq are also carvers in Cape Dorset. Turaq resides in Cape Dorset and is known mostly for his spirit carvings however he does make some animals as well like his Spirit owl’s and seals. He has been carving for many years and enjoys his work. He enjoys hunting and fishing when he is not carving and likes to learn about new types of art.
