Pin Enamel Salem Historic Buildings

$9.95

Colorful enamel pins featuring four of the historical buildings on the Peabody Essex Museum's campus. Choose from Gardner-Pingree House, John Ward House, Ropes Mansion, and East India Marine Hall.

The Gardner-Pingree House is a historic house at 128 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts. It is judged to be a masterpiece of Federal architecture by noted Salem builder Samuel McIntire.

The John Ward House is a National Historic Landmark at 9 Brown Street in Salem, Massachusetts. With an early construction history between 1684 and 1723, it is an excellent example of First Period architecture.

The Ropes Mansion is a Georgian Colonial mansion located at 318 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts. It is generally agreed upon by historians that the mansion dates to the late 1720s.

The East India Marine Society (est. 1799) of Salem, Massachusetts, was "composed of persons who have actually navigated the sea beyond the Cape of Good Hope or Cape Horn, as masters or supercargoes of vessels belonging to Salem." It functioned as a charitable and educational organization, and maintained a library and museum.
